After being seriously maimed, Finny enters his own state of mind, where there is no war occurring. He tries to tack together this state of mind into the other students minds. Finny starts a winter carnival during which the boys at Devon palpate a degree of freedom in this time of war. At the carnival the boys drink cider and dance on the tables. They all feel that nothing matters anymore but their own fantasy world. Even the boys that were edgy about the war, like Brinker, loosened up and enjoyed the fantasy that Finny created. Fin ny successfully creates his own separate peace by creating a fantasy world. Gene and Finny create their own peace after there is a period of unrighteous tension. After Gene shakes Finny out of the tree, he feels guilt start to generate upon him. He is hesitant to tell Finny the truth about his accident, and as a result his guilt jumps to a higher level. Gene tries to tell him at the hospital that he is responsible for Finny falling out of the tree, but the determine interrupts them. This tension between them builds until Gene admits to Finny what really happened. After that, Finny forgives him, and they resume their friendship, and their separate peace.A Separate Peace is shown through many examples in this novel.

Fitzgeralds The Great Gatsby is a novel that explains the conflicts between enjoy, sin, and death. It is a story of love and how love feces be quickly garbled or hidden beneath the surface. It reveals what sight go through in this decade, as well as the novels decade. There ar conflicts throughout the novel of lust, sin, and pure evil. It basically explains the way the human sound judgement operates when the heart is completely and undeniably in love with another. The fact that the spate in this novel went to the extreme to have the one they loved, innocent people tragically ended up in a realm of violence, betrayal, and their throw undeserved death.The Great Gatsby is a novel that takes the ref back to the duration of the Jazz Age. Times were dewy-eyedr but love was confusing. The most manifest written by Cheever to Gatsby comes earlier in the story to alert the reader of the more subtle parallels to the novel that follow (Allen). Jay Gatsby had every occasion except for the one thing he desired most, Daisy. She was the love of his life, yet, unfortunately for him, she had already been unify to Tom. This clarified predicament, however did not seem to stop Gatsby. Throughout the novel, one can see how Jay and Daisys love grows. What started out as a simple friendship grew much stronger. Meanwhile, while they were rekindling their love, Tom had another secret love of his own. He was seeing Myrtle Wilson, a woman who, herself, was already married as well to George Wilson.
